After being trending on twitter for hours when they sang their rendition on Chasing Destiny, BET and Kelly decided to release the studio version on soundcloud. They are signed to EPIC and their debut album is almost done. The official single will be revealed during the season finale. They sound incredible!!!!

Why most of them sound like Kelly?

I was going to post, but then I didn't know what to title the thread...b/c they don't have a name yet.

I'm very excited for them, mainly because mini-Beyonce is in the group (Lyndriette, aka Kristal). For those who saw Beyonce I Am... tour...she was in the girl group RichGirl with Sevyn Streeter (formed by Rich Harrison). They opened for Beyonce years ago.

I'm going to CRACK UP though, at the fact Lyndriette/Kristal fell off the face of the earth for like 6-7 years....and will come back and release an album before Sevyn. Atlantic need to get it together

Yeah, it was the 6th episode when they revealed the group. Rest of the season will be about them recording music, rehearsing, etc.

Smart of Kelly because if they show doesn't get renewed...they'll have new music out at the end of the season...so need for a season 2.

She did an interview after RG, back when she briefly signed with Tyrese as a solo artist. She basically says she goes by both names, but Lyndriette was a "different side of her, while Kristal's music will be more like herself".

So I'm wondering if the label pushed her to have a "fancy" name because they wanted her to be the Beyonce of the group.

Lyndriette would make her more memorable.

Some people are great at grooming other talent, moreso than grooming their own careers. So i wouldn't count them out just yet.

That's how most record execs are born....LA Reid, Diddy, Jimmy Iovine....all of them were "failed" performers before becoming great execs.

But yeah I get you...usually the "artist signing artists" normally goes wrong. But I wouldn't say that's the case for them just yet. They're not even on the same label as Kelly, which is a plus.
