Could we liberals really call ourselves tolerant and respectful of differences if we were to say no to this, ofc there are some exceptions, depends on how messy and deep in this bitch is
Republicans want everything to be clear and fair for everyone basing on economic ideas which have been working for privileged people for at least two centuries and bringing economic success to these people with privilege instead of economically relevant socialist ideas that would make our society fairer, more productive and hence more prosperous
we understand what equality means however we don't understand that treating everyone equally when there has been generations of inequality (including having a race of people under slavery) won't do **** for the problems these disadvantaged people have in society today as they're currently in a position of disadvantage compared to everyone else
and we're able to defend our views using dated logic that has only entrenched societal inequalities and injustices instead of actually thinking about how we can make society fairer and more equitable for everyone regardless of race, gender, religion or sexuality
there are plenty of reasonable people on both sides of the political spectrum
The fact that some of you would dismiss a side entirely is, to me, pretty stupid
These are often the same people who say Generalization is harmful and bad, yet they're guilty of it themselves, more so than those who lean on the right.

Being liberal doesn't mean I have to tolerate right-wing backwardness and "tradition" in my personal life.
I mean I've met some crazy scary left wing liberals who have this over PC and wayward views too. There's obviously a healthy balance to your political beliefs and such so, really, it just depends on what type of republican they are.
