It wouldn't have mattered who the boys were with. Kevin gets followed and hounded by the press too. They've experience the chaotic press with their dad too.

it would be totally wrong to not let the kids out with her just cause shes being photographed.
She needs to be a good mum to them and do stuff that normal people do with their kids....which is what she's doing here.
