Wait a minute, that explains why no more singles from her 3rd ! . She is shading one of her labels


(For those who know more about releasing music than I do, can she still release songs she recorded with previous labels?)

If I'm not mistaken she'll need to record those songs on her own again

Good for her she's free but she hasn't released great stuff while being under label either.. I need her to smash again with some good pop songs

I do wish her the best but preferred her to stay a little longer on a label to release another single before the change

As long as her label paid the studio sessions, she'll have to do it all over.. That's how I thought it was, but I could be wrong. It make sense though, either she releases them and give money back to the label as they invested in studio time or she does it all over

I mean... I don't mind. It literally can't get any worse than her last era with an album selling 2,000 copies and no singles charting. RCA completely ruined the career she could have had in the mainstream, so going indie is cute. She can put out the best music she ever has and get a cult following. That's if she puts out good music though. Rooting for her

She was on Salaam Remi's label for the last project, not RCA (but still all under Sony Music umbrella).

And she claimed she had full creative control w/ Salaam. So, I'm not exactly sure what's going to be different with the next label situation.

Tbh, she should have been patient and stuck it out with RCA. And put out a few mixtapes in the meantime to continue to build her following.

Sigh... she had so much potential coming to her third era. I wonder why RCA thought of sabotaging her

Jordin's not happening, and never will...the GP isn't here for ha. A pretty voice will only get one so far nowadays, you got at least have a little bit of an interesting personality...which Jordon clearly doesn't.

I heard a good chunk of her album while judging CHoose the Album then the song and it's just not that good.

I don't really have faith in her releasing quality music at this point

she had 3 or 4 hit singles in the past which means the GP had been here for her tho

I mean GP was here for her and I remember perching on atrl before i registered when Before It Break was supposed to happened. It even trended on Twitter along with her other "beforeit" hashtags. RHRN wasn't a bad album just weak promotion. Double Tap could've charted with a little more push.

I know the long album wait killed her image in GP a bit .I wish she had the aggressiveness some of the artist today had when it came to her releasing music or would've came to a middle point with RCA so we could've been slain with Harmony Samuels production.
It's really sad to see decline. Still hoping for the best and hope she doesn't quit music all together because that's probably after Independent if she steps down any further

Liar! She was independent in 2003 when she released an EP called For Now. First time my ass.

She made a huge mistake re-releasing "Tattoo" in 2008 when "Permanent Monday" was slowly picking up steam. Even the physical singles were ready but her team was dumb enough to scrap it for a new "Tattoo" video. I mean...

Also, RCA was at fault too for giving up on the Battlefield era so early when "S.O.S." tanked. "Battlefield" (the song) was successful. She could've followed S.O.S. up with "No Parade" and some other underrated gems.

UGH! She used to be my fave. Sad to see her decline like this.
