It's easier to sing Broadway songs clearly because of the style of singing. It's more theatrical, so your voice has to be audible and each word has to be understood because the songs are typically part of the story line.
Singing a fast-paced pop song doesn't really give her much chance to focus on her diction. Ariana is probably always gonna have enunciation issues, it just has to do with her tone and technique.
Not only the vocals, but the stage presence too. She gets better and better and better. I remember how she looked shy, scared and out of place during YT with those gowns (although I miss that era tbh 
) and now she's just so dominant
