Hm, I've got Princess on my to-read list... though it'll take me a while to actually get to it, haha. However, I should note, at least the suppression is apparent, and not subtle? Still, it does really suck though.

Shame. Angels and Demons remains his finest work to date. Dont expect it to be as amazing as DVC when it comes to first page hookers though. Overall, A&D delivers a great deal of a story like no other. It's intense. It's gradual.
I suppose the suppression has probably gone off the radar, although, to urban areas only. Not sure in the rural communities. Yes, it sucks. I highly recommend Princess for you. It has a lot of surprises.
