Does anyone remember (or have links to) images or tweets of any notable musicians in songwriting camps? I vaguely remember a few years ago Hanson posting on Instagram about being in a Kelly Clarkson songwriting camp, but I can't seem to find photo evidence of it anywhere online.

How about other songwriters or artists at one of the infamous retreats? Basically I'm looking to put together a collection of images which illustrate songwriting camps for the uninitiated.

Beyoncé and Rihanna. IMO it shows how talentless artists are with songwriting if they need writing camps and their songs aren't really personal/a representation of themselves. That's just my 2 cents.

I'd rather have an artist arrange a writing camp and the final product is quality than some of the tragic ass lyrics atrl's faves came up with.

My fave has co-written most songs on RR, TTT, UA and ANTI but even if she'd have 0 credits who currrrrrs. The **** people worry about

Whitney Houston and Elvis never wrote **** but it's a problem when current artists do it.
IMO it's not about who wrote the song it's about who can make it their own and deliver the story.

Like, unless you're rapper, no one cares if you wrote the song or not. Most people just care about the music being good.

This might be funny if Bey wasn't already a celebrated and award-winning songwriter. She is one of the few women named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, afterall. Not to mention all the artist and producers who commend her creative abilities in the studio.

I know Carrie Underwood often hosts song writing camps.

Hmmm mess! I'm sure bey or whoever came up with that line never put nice hair in the first place cuz "good hair" has a particular meaning in the black community. It doesn't literally mean "good" hair but it denotes a certain type of hair that's common with Caucasians and mixed black people! As opposed to the kinky more difficult to handle hair that's common among black people.
Even beyonce herself has "good hair" so that line was just a mess, yet another one of her quick little catchwords that seems to be the backbone of all her songs nowadays.

Anyways OT; songwriting camps have existed since forever it's no big deal! Not everyone can be MJ who could write,sing,produce and dance. Some have unique voices and life experience but ain't master word crafters and most of the mainstream artist that can write like tay and gaga aren't that good as writers and thus require co writers.
