It's common knowledge that Ariana's vocals are worthy of greater songs. Nonetheless she does produce great ballads and the industry thrives on watered-down pop records. I'm pleased however that Grande has incorporated other genres of music than the then-current dance trend (see her previous hit singles). She's evolving

It's not really shade, it's just the truth. Ariana hasn't released a signature ballad or anything to really demonstrate her best vocals to the GP. Most of her singles are uptempto pop songs.
