Tbh I actually like Articuno flying MUCH better I guess different strokes for different folks! It would be neat if flying Pokemon had a mechanic where they could ground themselves and change the amount of damage they give/take. Like if you're on the ground you take less from electric, or lower the accuracy, and if you're in the air you take less from ice. Just for example.

If you look at the amount of blue Pokemon that have purple shinies this might be true. A Swampert tea.

thats because GF doesnt really put much effort on how shinies will look (except a few mons)
So teh majority of shinies are decided by teh system which just alters the colors with the next?contrast? one (tamashi has made a video about it). Thats why most pink pkmn are blue etc

I think the flying pokemon having flying models make sense. It's one of those things that people hate here and I don't really care about.

This batch is like the definition of "meh".

I guess that could be cute. If they are about helping some of the types individually, Flying shouldn't really be high on the list tho, imo. Bug, Poison, Ice, Rock really need all the help they can get.

On another somewhat unrelated note, I hope that GameFreak continues buffing up the less powerful Pokemon like they started doing with XY (the minor stat changes). I want them to go all out this time though. New moves, abilities and especially stat changes for the flops that need it.

If that's true, i would give them to pokemons who can paralyze, put them on sleep or make them frozen first. So Groudon, Darkrai and Avalugg. Or pokemons with the ability mindzap

Yes, those are probably the best ones to use it on. You have to keep in mind that their abilities won't work on every Pokemon though (Sleep Charm on Ghosts, and Quake on Flying?), but even so.

And Avalugg has Barrier Bash, lol.

GF truly outdid themselves with Scyther/Scizor. Such flawless Pokemon

I just had a link battle with some random named Kai in Virginia. It was hilarious.

I chose Sylveon, Blaziken, and Raichu.
He chose Tyranitar, Lucario, and Sceptile.

His Tyranitar had sandstream, so I had my Sylveon keep using Draining Kiss to recover and knocked him out in like 3 turns.

Next up, he send out Lucario. I withdrew Sylveon and sent out Blaziken, which used my turn. He used Close Combat and knocked Blaziken down to 30 HP. I had Blaziken mega-evolve and he used Extreme Speed, knocking it out. So I sent back out Sylveon, and I kept using Draining Kiss again and knocked out his Lucario.

Finally, he sent out Sceptile. He kept using Leaf Storm, eventually knocking out my Sylveon (which only had around half of its HP by that time), so I only had Raichu left. I had my Raichu keep using Flash 3 times consecutively. He kept using Slam. By the third time he used it on Raichu, he knocked it down to 1 HP. I had Raichu use Thunder, which paralyzed Sceptile (and knocked him down to about half of his HP). Raichu got to go first after Sceptile was paralyzed, so I had it use Strength, which knocked him out.

Not me barely winning with 1HP left.
