Gee, I don't know. I thought maybe it would be a good idea to post a thought about the 2016 presidential election in the ATRL thread solely dedicated to the 2016 presidential election.

We are celebrating because since mid-April, every state has needed to be a blowout in Bernie's favor for the nomination to start to sway towards him and away from Hillary. Them tying, or him winning only four more delegates than her, doesn't help Bernie get the nomination at all and only makes Hillary's inevitable nomination one step closer.
And you can't really compare the republican primary system with the democratic primary system. Sure, Trump over his competitors than Hillary has over Bernie, but that's with a different rule system in play. Had some states been winner take all, like Florida, Ohio, Delaware, and Arizona like it is with the republicans, the primary for the democrats would be over as Hillary would have received enough delegates at this point.

Just because CNN may have said that (I need a link or something) doesn't mean it'll happen
If you do switch make sure it's not passed the deadline to do so, or else you won't be able to vote in either primary

Because we've been using math for a while now and it's been recognized that Bernie needed to win consistent blowouts in order to actually make progress towards the nomination. He hasn't done that and all we're waiting for now is June 7th.

"This is a character moment for Bernie Sanders. He's got to figure out how he's true to his values and his ideals fully," said CNN political commentator Van Jones.
"I think Hillary and Bernie both misunderstand this movement. I think Hillary just sees it as just a bunch of rowdy kids that at some point will just calm down and fall into line," he said, later adding, "I think Bernie actually only sees the good in his followers. I think Bernie really misunderstands there is a nasty edge to his following that he's not taking seriously enough."

I liked this quote. She has got to find a way to reel the Bernsters in, Bernie VP, compromise, more transparency (her donors, role that money from corporations play, speeches), something instead of hoping they'll just fall in line.
Trump seems to be getting the GOP back together after his nom clinch became confirmed while the state of the Democratic Party is looking worse, which is troubling this early on.
Bernie has to remind his followers that whatever the outcome of his campaign, Hillary is the better alternative by far, that a "if we bern u bern with us" attitude is not worth a Trump presidency, that they need to take a less emotion driven, respectful approach to their rallies and protests if they want their platform to be taken seriously.

June 7th is the end of the road. If Bernie doesn't drop out after it, I will scream. I understand him staying so that every state can vote... But that argument ends on June 7th (unless you want to include DC).

New Jersey will clinch the nomination for her before the Pacific/Mountain time zone polls close, BOOKMARK ME. Puerto Rico will help her collect 2/3 of the delegates she needs to reach the threshold and then, two days later on June 7th, when NJ is called for Hillary (Eastern Standard Timezone), it'll be a wrap. California will either be a cherry on the top victory or her or a, we had a good showing there, but the nomination win is more important.

I am so sick of the media, my friends and family members who continue to tell me that the race between Hillary and Bernie is still ongoing. How naive can people be to not understand that it is over? Hillary could have lose both states last night (I thought she might) and she would've been fine. She is winning by a huge margin and it is ridiculous that anyone thinks otherwise. People need to get tf over themselves and start coming together, because if they don't--Donald Trump will most certainly be president.
Bernie is a smart man, but the way he's still trying to paint a clear path to victory as being viable is plain stupid. He should be starting to lift Hillary up, not continuing to tear her down. If he wants to keep Trump out, he should be smart enough to understand that it's over... Didn't I read that he'd need to win KY by at least 10% and Oregon by atleast 25-35% to even be considered in it? Well Hillary won KY and barely lost in Oregon. The Sanders campaign needs to get over themselves and come to the conclusion that the Democrats want Hillary and believe that she is best suited to take on Trump (which she is). I'm sick of it. None of the rest of these primaries even remotely matter, as they continue to split delegates evenly. Anyone who see's things otherwise needs to schedule an appointment with their doctor.

Congrats to both candidates for their wins.
It would've been more intense if it was closer.

I think Bernie Sanders is the greatest, most dangerous threat to the USA, I hope he fails to get the nom.

Hillary may have won by less than 1% in Kentucky and lost by 10% in Oregon, but it still was a good night for her because it further narrowed Bernie's path to the nomination.
I did the math (which I'm not very good at lol, so this might be completely wrong ) and before last night, Bernie needed to win about 66% of the remaining pledged delegates for a majority (2026), now he needs about 70%.
If he...
...loses the Virgin Islands by 1% (delegates: 3 - 4)
...loses Puerto Rico by 16% ( 25 - 35)
...wins Montana by 42% ( 15 - 6)
...loses New Jersey by 20% ( 51 - 75)
...loses New Mexico by 18% ( 14 - 20)
...wins North Dakota by 66% ( 15 - 3)
...and wins South Dakota by 50% ( 15 - 5)
...he needs to beat Hillary 85-15 in California only for a majority in pledged delegates.
And he'd still need to steal her superdelegates after that to win the nomination.

I'm like the biggest Clinton supporter out there but if it were a Sanders vs Trump race, I'd pick Bernie any day over Trump. Donald IS the greatest, most dangerous threat to the USA.

Umm no, I know with Trump this country won't fall into the abyss of socialism/communism at least that's a guarantee (Trump also is not an ultra conservative religious freak like Ted Cruz was), just look at Venezuela, Brazil, Argentina and tell me if that failed system works, if it Trump vs Hillary, I'd pick Hillary but if it is Trump vs demon, devil, beelzebub Bernie, Trump without a single doubt, I'd never support maniac Bernie...
