What exactly is lotion?
Creme?
Cause if so, I've started using Nivea Creme for my face and hands.
Unless lotion is liquid? If so, any good cheap ones? Benefits of lotion?

Yes Nivea creme is lotion. Keeps the from being dry and makes it smooth.

Are there any better ones? As it seems to only work for a couple of hours, and then my hands get dry very quickly again.

no, it's full of chemicals that get immediately absorbed into your bloodstream
if i get dry patches (which I rarely do) i just use a bit coconut oil or other oils.
