Do you use lotion?
i cover myself from head to toe in lotion when i get out the shower.
when i was younger i used to just put it on my face and hands where people could only see, coz i didn't have time.

im black too but im so lazy and i dont most of the time
my friends DRAG me especially if i have ashy elbows but i dont give a ****, i wear jackets or sweaters most of the time or i forget to do so.
