How about her other #1s from that time, like I Don't Wanna Cry, Love Takes Time, etc. Even Someday and Emotions are pop-leaning but not "silly." When you think about it, as different as these two ladies are, they actually share at least two basic things about their careers: They both have been super successful and they are both not getting the acclaim they deserve for what they have done and still do behind the scenes.
