Not at all. No bass and the song stays the same volume throughout so parts that are supposed to go hard and sound louder just sound too soft

I think it's the effect of the fact that you're not the only one hearing it in real-time. Especially when it's a song from your fave, you know a bunch of others are listening to it and are getting exposed to the songs. It can really make it sound better.

Sometimes the LQ makes songs sound like UTTER SLAYAGE, but the HD doesn't have that umph.

Yes that's why I occasionally listen to the radio when I'm bored with my playlist, especially while driving at night.

Some radio stations automatically compress the songs they play (which has the effect of making them sound louder and a similar volume to each other). EQ as well.

yea some songs are definitely sped up because sometimes ill switch the station and they will be playing the same song but it sounds normal. like kiss it better sounds amazing on the radio especially on my local kiss fm station.

they are compressed to the same db. Radio format is a playlist consisting of different artists, with different songs at varying db levels, so they get leveled out to fit with one another on a radio playlist, much like a mastering job on an album.
