Honestly why even perform? If fans wanted to see her lip-sync old songs (with old vocals), they'd save up and go to vegas. They need to worry about new music, cause regardless of when she releases she isn't going to do all that well. The Billboard performance would have given Make Me (Oooh) an amazing boost (Prob not enough to get a #1 release, or a hit single, but enough for it to do well). But now LBR without the performance, she's just gonna drop the single and its gonna do ok.

This is giving me Mr. Mr. teas by Girls' Generation and it feels like RCA wants more time to push CSTF/Zayn before focusing on a new artist. I have a hard time believing a competent video director would actually have to delay production.

It's her first time ever performing a medley of greatest hits at an awards show and she's getting a huge award. If well received, it could still be great promo. Remember how well Beyonce pushed ST/her tour with a Super Bowl performance in 2013 despite wasting the opportunity to release new music? The effect won't be nearly as big, but it's still worth performing.

I don't want the album till 2/3 months after the lead and that is what has me fuming the most. I'm sure they delayed the release of the lead so they could have the album out four weeks after the lead and frontload it while ruining her chances at having two/three hits.
