Hi ladies
i've been researching macbooks and have become very fond of the new macbook 12 inch model.
A lot of reviews say its now as powerful as the others to handle crazy tasks like video and photo editing which doesn't bother me because I don't even know how to use those programs.

I'd mainly be using it for internet use, watching videos/movies, itunes, and microsoft office programs for work and study ect. So is this capable of doing that? It's super portable too so thats a plus also

The only thing that puts me off is that there's only one USB port and that's a USB C port and you'd have to buy adopters and stuff for it

I'd rather go a bit extra and get a new Macbook Pro. I'm hoping they'll have a new line-up after WWDC which I can treat myself to.

They keyboard seems SO ugly compared to my Macbook Air, EW.

I would go insane with only one USB C port IMO

I have this macbook, a LOT of people seem to hate it, which really put me off getting it at first, but I got it anyway and really loved it.

I've had no issues with it, it performs excellently and is super fast.

I think the only slight issue that I've encountered is the fact (as others have said) it has the USB-C port, but I got an adaptor so it's fine. Besides I don't really use the usb stuff as much as I thought I would, only occasionally for my external hard drive and usb sticks to transfer work.

So yeah I'd recommend it if you like the look of it

Also it is tremendously light, it honestly feels like you're holding a light book.

Why wouldn't a laptop be capable of that?

save up and get a macbook pro, if the 15 inch is too much for you, get the 13 inch

I installed mac to my convertible pc its better than most of the mac pros. If ur tech savvy u could try it

I personally prefer the Pro but any MacBook will end up being a great computer tbh.

I would recommend a Macbook Air over the new Macbook. I just think the new Macbook is overhyped. It's a weak computer with very few resources, making it have poor functionality. The new Macbook is a fine travel computer, but not a good primary computer.

I prefer the Pro (there will probably be a new line out in June/July), but if you don't do too much with gaming/editing, I think this is a very good option! I love the keyboard

It's better than the air, which is crazy outdated.

The Pro is also starting to age but it's naturally still better than this New MacBook.

I think the MacBook is sexy as ****, the gold one especially. My friend has one and I love using it. And if you really like the look of it and don't mind buying some ports and adapters, go for it. I'm personally waiting on them to update the Pro line.

If you're only needing a computer for basic tasks, get the MacBook Air, otherwise, get the MacBook Pro. The MacBook isn't worth the price because it's as expensive as the Pro with half of the features.

The 12 inch MacBook sucks.

As cute as it is, it's too expensive for what it does. Get the Retina MacBook Pro which is roughly the same price and has much better value.

The keyboard on this particular laptop is widely regarded as AIDS. The one USB port is also just the stupidest, most irritating thing.

The epitome of style over substance. Do not buy this laptop.

The port thing would drive me insane, the air is outdated as f, and the Pro is beind in specs too...
I would literally recommend investing in a high end PC ultrabook
