Black hair is beautiful and I'm all for women expressing themselves the way they are but who honestly cares if one wears a weave or relaxer. If you can look bomb like Gabrielle Union or Meghan Good then do you, if you can look bomb like Lupita Nyongo then do you too, it's your hair at the end of the day.
YES!! I haven't relaxed my hair in about four years and my hair is healthier as ever. Not to mention hair relaxing products are flopping in terms of sales. Embrace your natural hair it's beautiful!
It has been gaining traction for more than 4 years. It's a good movement save from the bad apples who like to dictate what others should do with their hair.

Beyoncé's hair is natural, she wears wigs and weaves on top of it but her hair is nor treated chemically. Most naturals wear wigs and weaves as protective styles.
Either way, people should do what they feel comfortable with.
My hair is natural, I love it that way. Although it is a struggle to take care of, I don't like the way my hair felt when relaxed.
I relaxed my hair for the first time ever 4 years ago, I hated it. People told me, it's because it's the first time, wait, yo're going to love it much more the second time around. The second time around, I didn't like it better. So it was my 2nd and last time ever using a relaxer. I transitioned for about a year and chopped it all off.
But I don't judge people who use relaxers, if that's the state you like your hair best and know how to keep it healthy, then go with that.

The amount of "unbreakable" combs my hair has destroyed, the number of times my fingers have gone numb from detangling, the money i have spent on extra slick conditioner, apple vinegar, spray bottles, coconut oil, macadamia oil, argan oil, the hours of my life i've sat in a chair box brading my hair
