Adele told us (i was there) at the Stockholm show a couple of weeks ago about the SML vid for the first time, and then she also mentioned WWWY and why it didn't get a video. according to her they were about to make a video for it actually, but it didn't work out in a good way and worthy of the song that she holds so dear, so they scrapped it.

such a waste, but i respect her for the artistic integrity to not just do anything for a song that means so much to her

that's actually a pretty fair statement to make. Like she just feel that whatever that was happening didnt mesh well with the song. I get that. So we can just count that as a scrapped single then?

well, not really tbh.
it was in fact the 2nd single, but the promo were only half made.
And both she (with scrapping the vid and not performing it on Grammys) and Columbia ended it prematurely, but it was obvious buy then it wouldn´t really be a big hit.

and yeah, i respect her statement regarding it integrity before chart positions

i Think it´s difficult to compare at all tbh. iirc, "work" wasn´t even charting the first two days b/c some glitch, and WWWY did like 650k first day.
and looking at top200 global today, SML should be like #150, but it´s not even there. so first day is Always glitchy and all i guess...
