It's hard to say for Utada since she hasn't released an album yet and it's the main indicator, but her "comeback" single is doing well.

Namie Amuro and Kana Nishino are the top girls. Shiina Ringo is up there too, with a big gap. Japanese polls say Kyary is also popular, but her recent streak of singles has flopped. She's releasing her Best album soon, its chart performance should tell clear up her status.

Mint is climbing iTunes faster than both Utada and Kana did.
