*Prays* Let this year be the revival of her career *Prays*
Not expecting something really big, but IWNLYD or HWD sized hits would be amazing for her.
And for the millionth time, She should focus 90% on the UK. Because she's big there, so once she builds a solid fanbase, she won't have to fear about falling down, cause she'll have them. A huge local hit in the UK, is better than a barely minor hit in the US. (See: Body On Me)

Poison is better than Body On Me though, and it's as good as IWNLYD. Underrated bop

It's not a bad song but it's not single material because it's kinda outdated and it's not what the direction she should be choosing.

I hope she gets a slot on the next Fifty Shades movie soundtrack this time, even though I think that this new movie won't have the same big impact as the first one.

And the worse thing is we got to hear a dope snippet and never get the full song
Her management is amazing but her label was really bad. I hope that whatever label under Warner she's going to be signed to, they would know how to treat her career and push her into the right direction.

Two years ago IWNLYD was her fourth #1 in The UK
Last year she was releasing Poison as her second lead single of her second attempt to release her second album
Such a special week

Do you guys think she'll be able to get her single to reach 1# with no pre-orders?
Cause I need her to re-tie with Jess & Cheryl before they pass her way more

I don't think so
She isn't a strong force on streams. Unless she jumps on a trend real quick, like deep house, tropical house, dancehall...

I remember when Rita bodied Iggy and Connor Maynard on their own songs. The girl has the "it" factor all she needs is better materials. Her management is the pits when it comes to choosing singles and timing, like who told them it was a good idea to feature Chris Brown, when the could have gone for Bieber?
We can blame Roc nation for Rita's woes but some of the blame should go to Rita's management for choosing Wack songs,Roc nation basically gave them a free hand and they ****ed it up by choosing mediocre songs with no hit potential.I hope her new label is more involved this era because if she is left to her own devices the music this era wouldn't be any different from that of her previous eras.

I doubt that her management has anything to do with the Chris feature. She really likes him and he's credited as one of the writers on Body on Me, and she literally worked with everyone that she wanted to work for this album, so it's her own responsability record this or that. But at the same time, who choose the songs to be pushed as singles, etc, it's the label, so the people on Roc Nation are the ones to blame for that single choice.
Her management is responsible to get her TV appearances, deals, magazine covers, that kind of stuff. The only thing that her management helped her on collabs, etc, was her songs with Iggy, Conor and The Invisible Men (Grateful, Are We Gonna Play, etc) because they're all under the same management. Maybe she can work with Ellie, Zayn or even Bebe Rexha in the future, because they share the same managers.
Said that, we are talking about the same label that made Rita scrap a whole album produced by some of the biggest producers of the music industry because of just 4 Calvin Harris produced songs. Remember that she recorded Young Dreamers with Macklemore when he was the hottest rapper of the moment, in 2013, and they never released the song. It's not like they were doing the smartest choices for her career since she was signed.
Sure, Rita can still make it, maybe not THAT big, you know, with multiple #1s on Billboard, etc, but she can have a stable musical carrer. She have the looks, the voice, the good management, the contacts and the money to make it. And yes, she had fire songs under her belt, they just needed to be released. Now, on a new label, she will have a new chance to restart and show to the world that she is a capable musician and performer.
