That's so sad, 'Meet Me Halfway' was the song that deserved the #1 spot more than any other this era.

^Meet Me Halfway was number one in the UK It's more of a pop song than their other songs so that is why it may not have done so well in the US. Their more urban releases usaully do better in amercia

MMH is a more grown up song I feel like, and iTunes is owned by the kiddies.

I agree, I love Hard but it has no chance at number 1. The only reason it's charting as high as it is is because of airplay. Thus far, it's sales have been extraordinarily average

So sad, looks like all her digital fans have went to Ke$ha & GaGa. Hopefully HARD can do the HALO-like run and sustain it's airplay while being around in the Top 20 of iTunes!

She had so many #1's on digital, every era: Pon De Replay, SOS, Umbrella, Take A Bow, Disturbia, Live Your Life.

Then we saw a dwindle with Run This Town, Russian Roulette, and even Hard... hopefully Rude Boy gets that push and explodes.

Also re. HARD, the youth market is very volatile. What's hot today is ice cube cold tomorrow. By this time next year, there will be a new girl (let's call her ****tie) who will be stealing digital sales from Gaga and Ke$ha.

IMO what happened on Grammy night last year has had a negative effect on Rihanna's career, just as it has had on Chris Brown's.

It's also about the songs. If Rihanna comes out with a fantastic song, people won't NOT buy it b/c she's past her prime or whatever. RUSSIAN ROULETTE and HARD weren't explosively catchy or anything. If she did TIK TOK or POKERFACE (or something catchy like that), people would buy it. Or another UMBRELLA.
