At the end of the day pretty much all the main pop artists are making mostly experimental music nowadays, sometimes it's actually refreshing to get an unshamed bubblegum pop song every now and then.

Now that's a lie. He used the backing track for most of the song. He didn't even sing the verses really.
My parents were convinced he was miming the entire song. I tried to tell them it was the backing track and he kept coming in and out live but the general consensus is that the GP thought he was lip syncing.
