Well, if Alola has no relation to Kalos and they've truly moved on it will remain the first Pokémon only obtainable through hacking.
I'm glad I have one already lol.
But it's more a unique form than a distinct Pokemon, like the Spiky Eared Pichu - so it's really not big enough deal to make Gamefreak worried about tying up that loose end.
