Am i the only one here that's not amazed by Sun and Moon?
It looks like almost exactly like Gen 6, and the Pokemon revealed so far are nawt cute. (except the grass starter)

I always stan hard when a new gen comes out, but this looks so uninspired.
I guess i'm just tired of Gamefreaks BS.

Am I the only one who's super disappointed with the graphics. Like, I remember being flabbergasted by the improvements from Gen 2 to 3 and I was floored again when Diamond and Pearl came out. But this is barely an improvement over X and Y. As long as there's no frame rate issues I'll be content but I am not feeling it

This is normal when 2 generations are on the same platform. RBY & GSC, DPPt & B&W were all like this too. There are noticeable differences but ultimately it's not THAT different.

But what did yall expect from a 3DS game?
SM look far more organic and pleasant than Gen6. Also i think going away from the chibi style is more of an improvement than what gen 1 to gen 2/ gen 4 to 5 did
And they'll have framerate drops. The 3D models of the Pokemon have crazy high polygon counts. It is bound to happen.

I mean, let's not forget the pretty nonexistent improvements from Gen IV to Gen V.

I suppose but BW felt different than this thanks to its (tragic) stylistic choices so it felt more like progression when compared to the Sinnoh games. This literally looks like Gen 6.5

Gen V did what? animated sprites that looked pixelated and uglier than the sprites we had in gen 4?

So far, there's a lot of noticeable improvements; first the graphics look just nicer and eye-pleasing than Gen VI in general. Then the models being real-sized for a change too. Also, the side camera and extended views; along with the added detail in the routes so far. Yes, the side camera existed once or twice in Gen VI, but it looks like it's a constant in Gen VII so far. Then, you have better animations in battle (see Litten's Ember), pokemon actually reacting and using the moves individually than a generic animation (or from what we've seen so far; it's possible it could only be with the starters and legendaries I guess), and on top of that we have the trainers standing in the battle too. (Again, possibly a temp thing, but for now, it could possibly be permanent). It looks far superior to Gen VI; and I'm one of the people here that loved it.

The graphics looks great. I mean, there are minor improvements but i mean, it's not like they're known for their graphics. Everything so far looks really cool and amazing.

I feel like you're missing the point of what I was trying to say but ok fair enough with what you added. Although in reference to the camera they obviously just picked those scenes for the trailer considering having the camera angle change by itself continuously isn't really user friendly. I wouldn't really call that a prominent upgrade from past generations

Let me preface this by saying, I cannot wait to buy Sun, and I will be playing it at midnight on November 18th. I also love Rowlet and "like" Solgaleo and Litten. But everything feels so... off. Something about the designs just don't feel like Pokemon to me. It feels like an online Neopet/Pokemon hybrid so far. I really can't describe why I feel that way. :/

But I will obviously reserve full judgment when I have the game in my hands or at the very least, when we get more info/reveals.

I hope it's a cute lil Shiba or Husky we can get in the early route I'll probably use it as my starter. Doge pokemon make the best pokebros
