i mean there is a big difference between LGBQ (which are sexual orientations) and T (which is a gender identity). why are those 2 combined?

I'm really shocked some of you are part of the LGBT community and still don't know what the transgender community did to fight for LGBT rights.
It's really disrespectful to just kind of go, 'oh but they're different from LGB...' because it's not about being different, it's about the social history they fought for that affects you.

There's nothing bad about the LGBT acronym. We cannot forget that many trans people also identify as gay or bi and that trans people have been a strong component to the LGBT rights movement since day one. However, the continual adding to the LGBT acronym to appease everyone and their mamas who may fall somewhere under or near this umbrella starts veering into the asinine, IMO.
