So American Idol and the CSI franchise end in the same year. It's the end of an era, for sure. Meanwhile, Survivor is back in the Top 10 after sixteen years and 32 seasons

this show didn't even deserve a 2nd season.

Cyber was trash, but I didn't realize all the other CSI series were done.
The end of an era indeed.

Oh CSI itself is over?

I just looked at the ratings for their shows and they weren't that bad? They were still pulling over 11 million on avg. according to Wiki and they cancelled them?

Good. Hopefully Criminal Minds is next to leave the superior Law and Order the last man standing.

It was too expensive to produce is the probably the main reason. The longer a TV show remains on the air, the higher the actors salaries become. CBS also basically killed it by moving it around the schedule, including Sunday nights where it was hit by many delays due to football running over.

I don't get why CBS would effectively kill a franchise that did so much for that network too. Hopefully it will get revived in the future sometime.

I only used the Vegas CSI. The others were trash.

The season 2 finale seemed to end on a great note, without really any cliffhanger, which is good. I would have liked another season but I'm content.
