Welcome to Platinum Hit 9, Songwriters!

I'm your host, Temporal, and I am SO excited for this season to begin! Myself, 8thPrince, Jackson, and the rest of the unrevealed panel are ready to see what all 50+ of you have to offer! Without further delay, let's get to the first challenge of the season!

CHALLENGE #1
THE INTROS, OUTROS & INTERLUDES CHALLENGE

Yes, this is essentially the same challenge as last season's opener, but with the addition of outros. This challenge is to write a short song; an intro or interlude for your very own album. It can be as short as a verse and chorus if you so choose, or not have any verse/chorus structure at all! The choice is yours. However, your song should be somewhat short and succinct (1-2 minutes read aloud is a good benchmark!). There are 50+ of you as previously mentioned, and we will penalize you if we find your song to be too long!

Maybe your run last season was cut before you could end it properly, or you need to wrap up your last era. Then an outro would be great for you! Maybe you want to introduce yourself with an Intro. Or, you're in transition, and could use an interlude to find yourself. The choice is yours! Submit ONE of the three forms, NOT all three!

We're just looking for a taste of what you have to offer, but it has to read as a complete piece of work from beginning to end, and leave us wanting more... hanging on to every word wanting to hear the next song. Be sure to include whether your song is an intro, outro or an interlude in your entry.

Sorry, but we're not reading 50+ full songs for one round, that's just not happening. This challenge is good way to let y'all produce a full piece of work while remaining a reasonable benchmark for the judges to read.

If you wrote an intro last time, maybe write an interlude or vice versa. But this challenge does what it needs to do as the first of the season, so I have no regrets about making it a challenge once again.
