There was a very important fact that P!nk left out when discussing this on her VH1 special, and none of P!nk's fans seem to realize this either...
Ron Fair was ASKED to arrange the song! But the way P!nk portrayed Ron Fair on her special, it was as if he was just some bossy Christina manager who wasn't involved with the song in any official capacity.
