Nota a threat, but an excuse for fox to sell the rights back, like they did with Spiderman and F4 after they bombed.

Rusty sis how much of the mall scene did you see in the film (like how long was it)? Because the Collider review said it was completely cut...

I'm going crazy and reading all the spoilers at another forum... that last scene after the credits!!

The mall scene is insanely short. We see them plan to go in the mansion, then we see them walking out of the movie theatre discussing how the third movie in every trilogy is the worst....

Also to those saying Disney wouldn't want X-Men rights, that's completely insane. Disney get free dibs to have the rights to the biggest missing piece of the Avengers if Fox don't/can't make X-Men movies. Of course they would like a billion-dollar established franchise free of charge.

And this movie isn't focusing on one mutant, it's definitely more team-ish than DOFP, but some characters end up being paid dust, possibly because they're left on the editing room floor.

I'm surprised at bad reviews. at least it's mixed tho..

Marvel must be behind this I know they have plans when they canceled Inhumans release date

I know Psylocke and Angel don't join which is disappointing, but they survive the final battle right?

I hate how people forget the good in anything once something is meh or received with mixed reaction. I've read a few tweets that were like "looks like the new X-Men is getting **** reviews, no surprise they're all bad" etc. some of the toxic as usual Marvel fanboys are gloating too.

Makes me so frustrated because X1 X2 DOFP and First Class are all great movies but they're forgotten immediately when something negative comes into play.

Critics are BS. This one certified critic on RT doesn't even work in the film industry, he is simply a comedian/ Youtube host.
Lot's of these certified critics don't even work within the industry, produce, direct, write etc. I wouldn't take their opinions serious.

Wouldn't you want to stop giving your competition reason to keep selling their merchandise you once had publishing rights to? It's common business sense. No reason to keep making merchandise when you don't really profit from the bigger sources of income (movies and TV shows).

That said, I find it extremely odd that RT is being particularly vicious towards Apocalypse (was hoping this X-Men film was going to be successful critically too).

I'm never seeing a movie from Marvel and its sucky superheroes again, I always thought it was strange how their movies get such good reviews despite being very mediocre. But now they're turning everyone against X-Men too? This is some repugnant ****.

I think we just have to hope that the fan reception is great and will carry the movie

It only has 36 reviews so far on RT, with almost a 50/50 split on fresh/rotten, for some context civil war has 284 reviews so we still have a hell of a long way to go
