Love story was the 6th biggest song of 2009, and at the time the best selling country song of ALL TIME, it's cute how you guys like to expose your ignorance of hit songs and think that it somehow makes it irrelevant though

Fearless was the 4th biggest album of 2009 as well. She out shadowed everyone bar gaga (maybe gaga as well if we include 2008)

We all know how big Fearless was and how Taylor was killing the competition back then but she wasn't as big as she currently is. She was on her second album and was also getting known by the audience.

This was just for those people using critics (via Metacritic/Acclaimed Music etc) as an justification for their arguments over an AOTY award.

If people are saying that TPAB should've won over 1989 because it was more critically acclaimed, then they can't say that BEYONCÉ should've won over MP, cause the latter was more critically acclaimed.

OT: I'd say she overshadowed everyone in the USA and in probably some Asian countries and maybe in Australia too, but worldwide Gaga was the queen. Taylor was definitely in the top 5 though (on a global scale).
