My parents don't believe I'm an atheist, I have said to them that I don't believe in God and I don't believe in Heaven or Hell, so why won't they believe me, it doesn't even make sense.

My parents are the same.
I told them that I don't believe in any god but the next day they asked me if I'm going to the church.

Question for you guys. If you really liked someone, had great chemistry, great vibe.. But they believed in God, would you still date them? I'm talking long term relationship,

Personally yes, considering atheists themselves in my country are like 0,01% As long as they're open-minded/liberal/chill about it, couldn't care less about anything else. We could just agree to disagree on that matter and still love each other regardless. I wouldn't even care if my kids believed in God, as long as they're not super conservative and become hateful because of it.

I didnt even know this existed omg
I have a question,
So I'm agnostic and my boyfriend is a true Christian because he went to a private Christian school when he was younger, so he knows a lot of it.
My question is, will this interfere with us on the long run?
We've been together for 6 Month's so far (yay)

if he's a liberal and still has faith in such stuff, yes. If he's conservative, no!
but I am gay so my boyfriend will probably be a liberal christian/muslim/etc. anyways
but tbh, religion won't be a factor in my relationship, but his character

Depends how deep their faith goes. If he/she just believe it but don't really practise it in every aspect of their life, I don;t mind. But I feel it would cause problems during eventual raising of a possible kid etc. so that would be hard.

For me, this would definitely be an issue. I'm someone who loves discussion and I really need to connect on that level, and I don't see myself doing that with a regular god-fearing person, even if they're not that religious.

Hypothetically, If you have children one day, there could be some disagreement there as to how you should raise them. That's always the big one.
