Again in the past he wanted to leave for his family, but he couldn't because of the oath.

I understand the writers want to keep it a secret a little longer, but I'd rather they just put a different vision in episode 3 and then just do the whole Tower of Joy sequence without any interruptions in another episode when they're ready to reveal everything.

Yeah I know that he has absolutely nowhere else to go... That's why I'm so confused for now.

Makes no sense to step down from the watch and stay at castle black, but he also can't go anywhere.

He basically has to meet Sansa soon

I totally agree. It'd be a much better, less frustrating way to enjoy this amazing + important part of the story.

Kinda wish they'd do that with dany's story too. I'm seriously tired seeing how slowly things are going for her.

mhm yeah. Him reuniting with his fam after being Lord Commander, dying and resurrecting seems like the most plausible scenario before he learns about his true self
