This is a common misconception - but a rather fallacious one. But I can absolutely see where you're coming from!
"In biology, an organism is any contiguous living system, such as an animal, plant, fungus, or bacterium. All known types of organisms are capable of some degree of response to stimuli, reproduction, growth and development and homeostasis." So, a plant may shy away from a sun by a windowsill just as a human might, if each has an aversion to it, but the fact that something is a "living organism" doesn't necessarily denote it's ability to feel pain, etc.
If you still disagree - it's fine - lemme take you to a slaughterhouse, and you can take me to a watermelon farm.
