Didn't someone post an analysis relatively recently that indicated she already had enough guaranteed-blue states that she literally only has to take Florida to win?

To be fair though, this isn't a situation unique to Hillary or 2016. For the last several elections, the Democrats start at a huge advantage because many of the biggest states tend to vote Democrat. Hillary should start with 242 electoral votes (270 are needed to win) because of solidly Democratic states that have voted for Democrats in the last six elections.

I don't know which I'm more excited for: casting a vote for Hillary Clinton or casting a vote against Donald J Trump. The general election is going to be so much fun, excited for those debates.

It's less of an electoral college advantage rather than a population advantage, though. The GOP are able to hold on in Congress thanks to midterms where Democrats unfortunately turn out in lower numbers. But in presidential years, the Democrats start off almost unbeatable. Until the GOP solve their demographic problem it'll stay that way.

The electoral map is a huge advantage for democrats. Unless the Republican Party finds unity of where their party is going and have a leader who truly is Reagan 2.0, they may never see the White House again.

EDIT: Maybe if they leave Reagan in the 80s, they may become a bearable party again. Obviously his legacy is meant for that decade only.

Because the SCOTUS is up for grabs it may e that Hillary needs to win all 50 states... to make sure any nominees won't be filibustered.

Surround the enemy from all sides, go in, and attack

Voters already want their reps to allow Obama's nominee to have hearings. They won't be able to justify continued refusal past the election.
