He has a good general point there but he's taking a very muddy route to get there.
I don't think he made the best choice by going with the 'I'm skinny but I'm sexy too' route.. because that's really the lesser of the issue. Like this is what concerns you about this? This is linked to so much bigger issues:
-the intrinsic effemiphobia in all gay sexual categorisations
-The virtual erasure of people of colour from it
-The fetishisation of barely legal youth
-The fetishisation of underage youth
-The erasure of other body types form this binary.
-The erasure of trans gay men from these binaries
-The toxic masculinity of the ultimate ideal of gay manhood
-The prevailing influence of the heterosexual masculine model.
-The erasure of bisexual people within these binaries
-The way HIV positive people are ousted from these models of attractive viability.
-The idealisation of such individuals who fit into these categories influencing a severe lack of education or interest about the community's history.
-Paradoxically stereotyping a community that has fought so long to break out of stereotypes.
Frankly all sexual categorisations are ****ed up and need to be quickly erased from gay culture. But his issue is like the least pressing matter on the list IMHO
