I would compare sales; but comparing sales from 2012 hits to 2016 hits is obviously not smart or fair.

The reason why One Dance is #1 in all of those European countries is because of streaming tho, so one way or another, your statement is completely invalid

Nicki was up against Somebody That I Used To Know, Call Me Maybe, Gangnam Style etc.

Starships made Nicki global and allowed her to tour Europe, Oceania and even Japan.

starships has sold 10 million+ worldwide and didn't have the advantage of streams added for its chart positions

Peaks don't mean much it's all relative. Starships debuted and spent weeks in the 10 ten in the US.

Spring 2012 had some of the biggest hits of the decade. One Dance is going against weak songs like 7 Years and ITAPIB.

One Dance made Drake global, allowed his album to do great worldwide and he'll also be touring worldwide. The statement applies both ways.

I can thread that when One Dance is done reigning.

Starships wouldn't have sold 10 million in 2016 sales climate, and One Dance would've sold much more in 2012 sales climate. There's definitely no denying that, even though Starships has impressive sales so there's no use in playing the sales game.

Streams actually didn't give Drake some type of advantage, when it's going #1 in sales in most countries it's #1 in (went #1 in sales inside US, Canada, UK, France, Germany, etc) anyways.
