This part is a little sketchy to me. He didn't actually work directly with her "in the traditional sense" so the material she provided could've been made by or with someone else. I don't think that gives him the authority to really comment on her songwriting ability. It seems like she was removed from the actual creative process.

Well the song he's on, they are both listed as writers. Just them two. And the other one has one other writer. You also forgot the important part after "traditional sense" which was, "where you actually sit down and make music."

I like what he said about their collaborative process. These days collaborations don't have that natural feel because nearly everything is phoned in through a computer. It's rare that you have artists, especially young, sit down with another artist/producer in the same studio and just vibe off each other. Good to know Bey is one of the ones that still collaborates the traditional way.
