I never thought this could happen to me.

I'm dating a guy who is pretty amazing with me, he is always there, he is amazing. The thing is he is a bf (although I never kissed him) but we felt attracted each to other.
I spoke with him about it and I told him that I have to have respect for his relationships, also he was almost crying telling me that he is not happy with his relationship, I told him he has to resolve that first.
We still talking because I made a promise of being with him all the time if he needs me.

Do you have experiences?
Am I wrong with what I did?

You're not wrong, but don't get your hopes up. There are some people who are so eager for affection and attention that they want to steal multiple people's energies. If he breaks up it's in like two weeks it's fine, but if he won't and will always just give excuses dump his ass cause he's playing you. Would you want to be with someone who couldn't tell their current partners honestly their feelings? And also, maybe he is always putting it off like those married people with side dudes/chicks, and always promise them to divorce and stuff but the victims forever remain the other woman/man.

If he's cheating on him he's going to cheat on you too.

you don't want to be with someone that's with someone else romantically, no matter what happens, you'll end up getting hurt in the end. so like you did, just say your always gonna be there for them but you can't be with them until they get their stuff with that person yet.

i've had experiences with that alot so the best thing to do is to keep on doing you until they let you know something. don't get too strung up on it love.

i feel bad for the person he is in a relationship with because that person might not even know that he feels that way about the relationship

I'm not going to weigh in on you being right or wrong, but I will say that you accept what you believe you deserve. He's probably a really nice guy and really into you, but I personally love myself way to much to give someone all of me if I'm only getting half of them.

Yes, I had an experience with this type of guy. He's only using you for temporary emotion. He's unhappy with his current relationship and he might leave his partner to get with you. But you must always remember that once the problem with his partner resolved, he will definitely get back with him. Or if he could cheat with his partner with you, then I suppose he will also cheat on you with someone else.

These are the worst guys. If he's not happy, why is he not breaking up and why is he even dating while he's still with the other guy? He's either a liar or just a really weak person who doesn't know what he wants. Both bad

Stay away from him a bit. It won't end well... Even if you feel good, in the future you will start feeling insecure because exactly what he did to that guy, he might be doing it to you. People don't change. If he's doing that to that guy; he will do it to you. Period.

He's a mess who doesn't know what he wants. He's around for a good time not a long time. He's co dependent and needy. Run. RUN NOW.

Not every break-up situation is black and white. There's a lot of reasons why someone would stay even if they're unhappy.

I know from personal experience, but then again, I never pursued or got involved with someone else while I was going through that.
