Shouldn't we do this for all animals then? Animals know when they are being slaughtered, its not fair that dogs get privileged treatment when even pigs are more intelligent. Whats the difference from eating a dog, a horse, or a cow?
Because dogs are cute. The 'no rice, no spice, no chocolate, no pigs" folks at it again.

I used to have that old mindset but I realised how hypocritical it was. Why do we only see pigs as bacon/pork yet other abundant animals are 'special' or 'pets'.
Dogs evolved from Wolves to see humans as a friendly species. They gave up their wolf instincts & survived through man. Unlike other animals, they do see us as "best friends" so when u kill them they see it as a betrayal & it's more psychologically traumatising for them than other animals. U still shouldn't be killing animals either way tho.
Everyone always gets sad about things like this, and very rightfully so, but not at all when it's about the traditional farm animals like cows, pigs, sheep, etc.
Yall need to understand that South Korea used to be a dirt poor country that used to get aid from African countries and wild dogs were always readily available. Dog meat played a big part of their culinary history. It's been declining for years now since Korea became westernized and the last few people who eat dog, eat it for cultural reasons.
I'm glad they're getting these dog farmers to go into other business ventures and I'm glad the dogs didn't have to be killed, I hope they get into nice homes.
Until they are able to remove all the estrogen in the soybean products(soymilk, tofu, vegetarian steaks, sausages etc.), I'll not stop eating meat.
Why is it so hard for them to do it...
I had to take estrogen-blocking medicines because my estrogen level was too high(I'm a guy) from eating all the soybean products and other synthetic food.
Dog tastes a little like beef, it's actually quite nice.
Don't know why we would be so emotional about dogs when most of us eat tens of chickens, cows, horses, pigs etc a ear. As long as it's biological, I'm pretty much okay with it.
