American Slavery and it's aftermath, the Holocaust, 9/11, Jonestown, Hiroshima Bombing... so many more but these events make being human kind of terrifying.
Anything related to the Holocaust terrifies me, especially given how recent it was and the fact that it was in a developed nation. Also the Rwandan Genocide, Armenian Genocide, Slavery and Jim Crow. I hate thinking about how recent a lot of this stuff was.
This... The fact that it took place in the 1900s has always spooked me.
the Atomic bomb dropping is the scariest because of the different dynamics that were at play (ex. human's willingness to use such a weapon, the unexpectedness of the event, the cultural impacts of the aftermath)

During this time in history, an accusation of heresy could be construed as treason against lawful civil rule, and therefore punishable by death, though this penalty was not frequently imposed, as this form of punishment had many ecclesiastical opponents
The fact that Britney Spears released a lead-single from her BJ album yet no one seemed to notice/care that her voice isn't even on the track. How does that even go unnoticed, even on ATRL?
the Chernobyl Nuclear disaster. Just gives me the chills on the reality that if nuclear based weapons would be used places like it may be inhabitable for THOUSANDS of years like
I'm going to go with the Cretaceous–Paleogene extinction event, but the potential melting of one of the Antarctic ice plates could be super catastrophic as well unless we figure out a way to resolve it in coming generations.
