Ariana: "I face misogyny every day"
Quote:
“I’m a woman so I face my fair share of double standards and misogyny and ignorance on a daily basis,” the Dangerous Woman singer sighed to Britain’s Grazia magazine. “A lot of women think of the stereotype that comes with the word ‘feminist’. But there’s not just one type of feminist. You can be a feminist who gets their hair and make-up done, you can be a feminist who cuts their hair off and doesn’t wear any make-up. Who has lots of sex or who doesn’t. There’s no limit.”
She’s also bored of people who try to neatly pigeonhole her into one box. During her day-to-day life Ariana pulls off a sweet and demure look, but when on stage the star often opts for more revealing wardrobe choices. “I feel like people are always constantly trying to pin me down as a good girl or a bad girl but I think women can be whatever, and me too,” she said.
Ariana adds that it’s not fair how women are treated, compared to men, when it comes to enjoying their sexuality. Alongside inspirational quotes, Ariana will often post photos of herself pouting or wearing barely there outfits on her social media accounts - something she is attacked for. “When a young male artist posts a shirtless picture on Instagram the comments will be like, ‘Oh my God, hearts eyes, so hot, babe alert!’ Like whatever,” she shrugged. “If a woman posts a suggestive photo of anything that expresses her own sexuality or confidence within her body it’s a very different response.”

How can y'all come down on Demi with the swiftness of God for talking about her addiction, eating disorder & suicidality, but Ariana's been a broken record on feminism for over a year now & nobody's sick of it? It's so contrived, transparent & try-hard. She can't even say anything intelligent or academic about it, just the same "Relatable Tweet" quotes. It's the obvious & overdone case of a pop-star with zero personality latching onto an advocacy issue to seem like they're more interesting than they are. The riot grrrl movement is rolling in its grave.

No shade, but one is likable, the other isn't. It's really just as simple as that.

Because Demi can't learn from her mistakes and falls back into triggering behavior.
