Lady Gaga and Mark Ronson cover Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House” — watch
#LadyGaga perfectly embodied the bold, avant-garde energy of Talking Heads (official) with an electrifying performance of "Burning Down the House". (quoted from Facebook page)
Lady Gaga hasn’t released a new album since 2013’s ARTPOP, still she’s remained in the public spotlight thanks to her show-stopping live performances. She was unforgettable on the Oscars stage, mesmerizing at the Super Bowl, and surreal during her David Bowie tribute at the Grammys. Last night, the pop phenom gave us even more to write about, as she closed out a Met Gala afterparty with a electrifying cover of Talking Heads’ “Burning Down the House” with the help of Mark Ronson.
Although Lady Gaga and David Byrne’s outfit are from different eras, this rendition proves they’re actually kindred spirits, embodying the bold, avant-garde energy which has long-fueled the Big Apple. (Fitting, too, that it was performed in celebration of a New York institution).
