He does/did. He had $2 billion lined up for a starter high speed rail system Florida connecting Orlando and Tampa and Rick Scott cancelled it
But I don't think it's getting talked about this time around. It should be a much bigger priority imo

I don't think ATRL Hillary supporters know this because almost everyday they mention Bernie needs to drop out and reunite the party with Hillary it's always so silly to see because he is not a democratic

Yes Ma'am. Get with the winning team.
Say no to food stamps and other things where my tax money is being compromised by people who are benefiting because they are not driven/motivated enough.

Depends on where you live. If you're in San Francisco $100k is basically working class. Can live pretty well on that in, say, Atlanta.

Dems need to resurrect that McCain "celebrity" ad now that Republicans are literally running a reality TV celebrity.

$100k where I'm from would make you high upper class. I make $20k a year and I live completely fine.

Only in Canada where $100,000 is the same as $200,000 because you'll end up paying sooooooooooo much taxes as you go up the scale.
I'll be fine with a $20,000 salary too.. I'm very content with life, I just need a hubby to marry and I'm settled for life.
Although starting salary for IT straight out of college is around $60,000-$70,000. Programmers make even more, especially if you're going to be a full stack developer.. and they earn $150,000 after 2 years.

China has a train that connects Shanghai to Beijing (about 820 miles, which is like New York to Atlanta) in less than 5 hours And of course Europe has high speed trains all over. It really is sad that America is so behind in this area.

I agree! Our infrastructure is so poor here (I live near Nashville) and our public transportation is just god awful and practically non-existent.

$20,000 salary as a single person renting an apartment is fine. But that is nothing when you have kids and get married and want a house and cars, etc.

But at the end of the day, he still needs to realize its his obligation, as a democratic candidate that has garnered a following WITHIN the democratic party, to work together with whoever the nominee will be in order to insure a win come November.
Him denying that part of the process only ends up hurting the same people who are democrats that have been supporting him during the primaries.

Yes. Let me set up my Obamacare while I still have a roof over my head. It's only a matter of time before I become of the lower class.
I'm crying

Oh yeah, it's more than enough. Disregarding my outstanding $40,000 college debt, I completely survived an entire year living off $2000. I'm so grateful to have experience of starting from the bottom, because it makes my accomplishments even sweeter.

There's no doubt about it, unfortunately he didn't get the support needed to claim the nomination, and he most likely wont during a contested convention.
Do you not realize how disastrous going into a contested convention is with Trump as the GOP nom? Do you not realize how many dumb people we have in the US? Trump is speaking in the lowest common denominator type of terms that really resonate with many uneducated ignorant people, and thats a powerful tool to use.
Now if Bernie actually cared about the policies he's running on, then he'd realize that he'd be better off helping out, not just Hillary, but the people of the United States that so desperately can't withstand a Trump presidency. It comes off as callous and cruel to continue this charade based on some movement that isn't entirely there, he's just being gassed up.
Trump isn't a joke. And I'm not saying Hillary is too weak to defeat him, I still have 100% faith she can do it. And I don't know about you, but me personally I'd rather have as many fail safes between Trump and the presidency as possible. It just so happens that Bernie coming together with Hillary in some capacity is one of them.
That's all this is.
|
This is all premature.
If Hillary wins the nomination, Bernie will most likely endorse her. I don't think it'll do much to change the BernieOrBusters but it will be the gesture all of you are hoping for. Until the convention, Bernie can and should stay in the race no matter the results. He has tons of money and obviously enough voters left to still win a few more states.
Now if Bernie ran as an Independent that'd be another thing...
