How would you feel if Same Sex Marriage or the Trans bathroom law was on the ballot and your family voted for marriage to go away and for the NC law to be in full effect? I personally know of a situation a few years ago when Same Sex Marriage was on the Virginia ballot and someone parents voted against it and it ruin their gay son/ parent relationship,, how would you feel if your family voted anti LGBT?.. ..

Well they probably are voting against the marriage thing, not the restroom thing hopefully. But yeah they're not super supportive but I don't really care

They are openly homophobic especially my mom, but no surprises seeing which country I'm coming from. Just recently she showed me a pic on her phone about the rising LGBT movement here and said they all had no shame to publicly supporting a sin and they were all going to burn in hell etc. I already told her I don't believe in God and I'm really curious to see her reaction when I tell her I'm also not straight. Just waiting for the right time aka till I'm financially stable on my own. I have a feeling she will be okay with it for some reason. She's pretty liberal, her best friend is a glass closeted lesbian, she smokes etc but still holds on to her conservative views.

My parents have always supported gay rights so that wouldn't happen. My other relatives... I don't know, they're narrow-minded but they probably don't care/go by the "live and let live" Italian philosophy.

!!! My mums homophobic, my dad has never mentioned it, my older sister isn't exactly homophobic but ignorant and my other older sister isn't homophobic at all.
It's really disappointing. I try to educate my mum but she's so stubborn

The only family member that I care isn't homophobic, so I'm fine, don't care and don't know about others.

there already was a referendum in Croatia about banning same-sex marriage by law and my parents both went and vote to ban it, I was so sad, but I expected it, they are all very homophobic. But I couldn't do anything at the time, I was only 15 years old. And I still can't say anything, I am in the closet and under their roof

My mothers lesbian so I highly doubt she would.
My grandmother is heavily involved with gay people so I doubt she would either. she all about that club life


I wouldn't care if they did anyways.
