As for Wayne, he's somewhat fizzled out in recent years, though Tha Carter III was a high point for sure.

Lil Wayne has 6 platinum selling albums, a double plat album selling and an album thats almost at 4M in the US. He has countless gold albums too and has been rapping since 11. Drake will never pass him

One key difference is Kanye's material wasn't negatively affected by his ego/pretentious thinking the same way Gaga's material was. He still gets acclaim and praise for pushing boundaries (Yeezus for etc).
Bonus: Kanye has major longevity as well.
