I'm not following your logic. You're asserting that because One Dance peaks higher, even if it sells less than Nicki's 8 Million Copies, it's more successful?
Sales are in a different climate.
The Motto sold 3.5 million copies in US in 2011. The Hills, Can't Feel My Face, Cheerleader, Bad Blood, What Do You Mean?, Sorry, Love Yourself, Work, and PILLOWTALK have sold less despite being huge #1 hits.
Are you implying those #1's are smaller hits than The Motto?
You can't compare sales from 2011 to 2016. But you can compare charting. Charting hasn't changed.
A song that goes #1 for 5 weeks is bigger than a song that peaked at #50.
nicki's achievements are WAYYY more impressive than drake's
drake is a lightskin male rapper, the way ihype is acting like they're in the same category I listened to like three songs of views and almost fell asleep anywayz
Even Young Forever and Starships give me the utmost life.
these are ****
ps selena is so untalernted and a joke. when her stans post "news" about her new album im just like shut the **** up. can't believe you anticipate such a joke.
iHype, how much has worldwide digital sales declined since 2012? Take 8,000,000 and then subtract that number by how much digital sales declined since 2012, I doubt One Dance will sell that much.
Drake will be remembered as another big rapper who was pretty big in the 2010's. Nicki will be remembered as the chick who rapped better than the guys who came in when no one even wanted female rappers on the radio and changed that
Nicki & Drake certainly aren't in the same category.
He's categories AHEAD of her in 2016, hence his album selling more in 1 week than Nicki & Meek's albums have sold total combined.
Oh, and Drake never stooped as low as to record white-washed EDM Pop with David Guetta and RedOne so let's CERTAINLY not act like she had it harder to achieve success.
Also, Nicki avatars are ridiculously good. This has nothing to do with anything but it should be remembered that in addition to the brilliance exemplified by some of her tracks and her FLAWLESS pop contributions like Whip It, she occasionally hits us with the aesthetic of the gods.
Nicki's videography is underrated. It's obviously not anything groundbreaking or revolutionary, but she does have a lot of amazing videos.
