Dan Phillips did a sports report containing a ton of references to Prince in memory of the late artist. It got him fired. Phillips revealed yesterday that it got him fired: " First of all, I want to thank everyone for the kind words, comments and positive feedback on this tribute I did to Prince last week. It really means a lot.
Unfortunately, there were apparently some viewers, as well as management at the station, who did not feel the same way. They felt I was insensitive. And as a result, I was terminated today.
Didn't feel like sitting through the whole video after 2 minutes but unless he said something rude later he didn't sound rude or insensitive at all. From what I saw, it seems more like a tribute.
