I'm struggling to see why she gets so much **** and hate for being a trans woman, being a Republican, supporting Donald Trump and being a member of the Kardashian family, it's mostly the transphobic and homophobic comments that get me, I don't hate her at all tbh, I think she's a good person but why do a lot of people think she's the scum of the earth?

People probably dislike her because she's ignorant.

Because she's a hypocrite and ill-informed on the very issues that affect her and her community, yet she acts as a spokesperson.

I can understand the dislike for her views (I dislike her for them) but I don't understand why that gives people the excuse to make homo/transphobic remarks.

Political millenials expect her to have liberal views without keeping in mind that she is from a completely different generation. Its not that surprising that she leans Republican, let her have her own damn opinion..

Because she came out as trans, which was all fine and dandy - then proceeded to make a barrage of ignorant comments + kinda came off looking like a self-hating trans woman...it almost seemed like she was pandering to the idiot bigots of the world to gain approval, a real "im not like other *insert minority group*" type of reactions.

Cause she's clueless about the struggle & needs of her community. It wouldn't be much of an issue if she didn't decide to be the spokesperson of trans people, but since she claimed that spot the hate she's getting is deserved.

I love her. I think she brought much needed atte tion to the transgender community. Candice Cayne and the rest were not doing enough

because she has a massive platform for making change and yet is completely narcissistic and ignorant. people who make trans jokes about her are garbage though.

She's sort of stubborn and clueless, which is typical of any 66 year old who's had the same belief system their whole life. I do think she's trying and as a trans woman I can't help but empathize and relate to her, but I just expect more.

when Caitlyn first debuted on the Diane Sawyer interview & the mag cover...she was showered with love & support. public reaction was very positive. i remember being surprised by all of the love...Caitlyn was a bravo hero. but things have certainly turned in a short period of time.

i think the public support shifted when she started winning awards & honors that are traditionally given to biological women or people who had more deserving reasons. also...she started becoming more of a fame***** than Bruce was...he was lowkey & not really thought of as someone apart of the Kardashian circus. but now Caitlyn has become that.
