Calvin hasn't updated his sound. He thinks more of the same with slight weeks here and there is "different". It's not in this case. It's not enough of a departure for him production wise. That's why it feels so basic yet still very catchy.

This song doesn't want to grow on me completely, I am happy she decided to not do anything in this vein for ANTI, because it would have dragged down ANTI, like Right Now dragged down Unapologetic. The song has potential, but has been made to be a poor man's How Deep Is Your Love. The only thing that lifts the song is Rihanna's vocals.

I mean I like the song, it's in my work out playlist, but after the amazing ANTI and Too Close, this really feels basic in comparison and nothing more than a cute little bop.
