The 22-year-old Canadian pop megastar sleep-walked through his choreography, made no attempts to mask his pre-recorded vocals and performed with the enthusiasm of a teenager being forced to clean his room.
“Does anybody in here ever feel like sleeping all day?” he asked the crowd two-thirds of the way through the 19-song, 100-minute show. “I think that’s me every day… I hit the snooze button like 15 times this morning.”
Justin Bieber Looked Bored and Miserable at Gila River Arena in Glendale
Quote:
...I'm a photographer, and was looking at him through a 500-millimeter telephoto lens for the first three songs. His mouth barely moved, and he appeared to be, at best, lip syncing, or at worst just sullenly meandering around the stage.
At some points throughout the show, I almost felt bad for the guy. He looked so miserable. You'd think that he'd show at least a perfunctory level of joy while performing on stage in front of thousands of ticket-buying fans, but at least outwardly, that was not the case.
Justin Bieber lip-syncs his way through The Palace on 'Purpose'

He came, we saw, he lip synced.
When Bieber was dancing, he wasn't singing much. He was also a bit unenthusiastic. It was as if he just wanted to get through the show at times. The microphone was often no where near his mouth while the backing tracks were playing.
getting good tour reviews is easy too, even artists who "can't sing/perform" manage to earn good favor from critics from looking engaged, giving it their all, and having good production.
